Bantwal, Jul 15: Mangaluru-Bengaluru national highway witness traffic jam issues for one reason or the other. A cooking oil laden tanker lorry had to be stopped for its repairs as it broke down at Soorikumeru on Friday July 15 disrupting traffic for several hours.
The tanker heading to Mani stopped at the spot where four lane works are in progress making the problem complex. A long line of vehicles could be seen from Soorikumeru to Mani on Puttur side and till Dasakodi on Kalladka side.
As repairs to the tanker were not easy, gravel was laid to temporarily widen the road to ease the traffic to some extent. Vittal station police and the group of local youngsters helped to regulate traffic.
