Beltangady: PTA meet held at Anugraha School, Ujire

Beltangady, Jul 18: The annual general body meeting of parent teacher association of Anugraha school was held on Saturday July 16. The meet began with the invocation led by primary teachers.

Principal Fr Vijay Lobo in his introductory speech highlighted the achievements of the students in the annual exam. He gave a call for the parents to be in touch with the school.

Antony Fernandes the vice president of PPC in his message gave a call to all the parents to support the school all the time. The correspondent Fr James D’Souza in his presidential address said that the parents play an important role in the growth of the children. He said that parents need to be the role models to their children.

Resource person of the day Dr Caroline P D’Souza, Psychiatrist, Mangaluru spoke about ‘Responsible parenting’. With different case studies she narrated the problems of children. She strongly urged the parents to spend more time with their children.

During the programme the distinction holders of annual exam were honoured with memento. Teena memorial cash prize and gold medals, sponsored by George Matthew were also distributed during the programme.

At the end, new PTA executive committee was formed. Anandarkrisha is selected as the vice president of PTA. The management committee members were present during the programme. Ravi Kumar, incharge headmaster of primary section welcomed the gathering, Vinayalatha read out the names of distinction Holders. Vasanth Hegde proposed the Vote of thanks. Prabhakar Shetty compered the programme. At around 817 parents participated in the meet.
