Moodbidri: Carmel School celebrates patron's feast

Moodbidri, Jul 19: Carmel School Moodbidri celebrated school feast on July 15. The programme commenced by invoking God’s blessings on all through a prayer service.

There was a colourful stage programme by the students which included prayer dance and welcome dance. On this day we recall Mary’s motherly patronage, guidance and her loving care and protection. This day is also celebrated as Foundation day of the Apostolic Carmel congregation, which was founded by Venerable Mother Veronica, Foundress of the Apostolic Carmel in 1868, Bayonne France.

Students highlighted the importance of Carmel feast through a meaningful skit of Magnificat. The chief guest of the day Fr Rudolph Pinto OCD addressed the students to be the flowers in the garden of Carmel by exhibiting their talents and sharing it with everyone and he also encouraged the students to be the good citizens of our nation.

The celebration concluded on a happy note by wishing everyone a 'Happy Feast of Mount Carmel'. The programme was compered by Rowan Rodrigues and Sachi Fernandes and vote of thanks was proposed by Keerthan Salian and Dhiraj R Kini.
