Mangaluru, Jul 20: Institute of Computer Science and Information Sciences under Srinivas University is offering Higher Education in the field of Computer Science and its Applications since 2017. Earlier the institution was affiliated with Mangalore University offering courses BCA, MCA, and MSc since 2001, and was accredited by NAAC with an A Grade. Presently the Institution is offering BCA, BSc (DFM, Animation & VFX), and MCAalong with Research Programs in Computer Science and its Applications.
Bachelor of Computer Applications is an undergraduate programme that nurtures students to become young IT professionals. The course is designed to bridge the gap between IT industries and academic institutions by incorporating the latest technologies into the curriculum. State-of-the-art infrastructure provides an excellent learning environment in the IT development and management sector. Bachelor of Computer Applications is a three year – six semesters undergraduate programme with an option of four year - eight semesters for an honours degree in BCA as per NEP. The course prepares the students for careers in the software Industry to obtain positions as System Analysts, Systems Designers, Programmers, Network Engineers, Network Managers, Database Administrators, and IT Managers in any field related to information technology.

The institution offers a BCA program in three specializations:
BCA (Software Development & Web Design)
BCA (Robotics, Artificial Intelligence and Virtual Reality)
BCA (Cloud Computing, Ethical Hacking and Cyber Security)

With these specializations in BCA, students would get strong foundations in fundamentals of computer science along with special skill sets in Software Development, AI, VR, CC, Ethical Hacking and Cyber Security. With four years of BCA honours degree, students can pursue their research programmes as well.

Bachelor of Science in DFM, Animation & VFX is an undergraduate programme that nurtures the students for careers in the Animation and Film Industry. In this course, students will be upskilled with the foundation in the fundamentals of Camera, Lighting Effects, Shooting Skills, Digital Art, and 2D/3D Animation with various associated software tools with a practical touch. After this course, students would attain the positions of Content Developer, Editor, Script Writer, and Camera Man in the IT and Film Industry.

The MCA programme of Srinivas University is a two-year programme designed with the primary goal of imparting a uniquely broad, yet intensive IT education of the highest academic quality. The programme has been designed with a focus on delivering the latest, industry-oriented education in computer applications with a sound theoretical and practical approach to learning.

The institution offers an MCA program in two specializations:
MCA in Dual Specializations (Networking & Software Development, Data Science/Cloud Computing with IoT)
MCA in Cyber Security

The MCA course curriculum with its industry-relevant course structure and certification programme prepares students for various positions in the IT industry.
