Mangaluru, Jul 22: A cattle theft incident has come to light at Bajal vicinity of the city. MLA Kamath instructed the police officers to confiscate the property of cow thieves.
Speaking in the meeting with the police officers, Kamath said, “Cow has an important place in the Hindu religion. There are many families which earn their livelihood through cows. The state BJP government has implemented the Anti-cow Slaughter Act and instructed to take strict action against cow thieves.
“A cow was stolen from the shed of Ashwin, a resident of Bajal Kanakariya. A complaint is filed in this regard in Kankanady police station. Strict punishment should be given for those who involve in cow theft, transportation and slaughter,” said Kamath.
Station officer of Kankanady police station Siddanna Gowda Bajantri, leaders of Hindu organizations Kiran Rai Bajal, Umesh Jappinamogaru, Pradeep Pumpwell and Padmanabha Navoor were present.
