Udupi: 'Law and practice of Banking' book released

Udupi, Jul 23: "One can be successful only by maintaining discipline in life. To build a stronger nation, the younger population of the country will have to show more interest towards academic performance," said Dr Bhaskar Shetty, principal, G Shankar government first grade college, Udupi. He was speaking at the book launch ceremony of 'Law and Practice of Banking' written by prof Umesh Shetty K and Santosh A Shetty.

CA Gopalkrishna Bhat, founder and CEO, Trisha Group of Institutions presided over the programme. Speaking on the occasion, he said, "Teachers can make a greater contribution in changing the lives of students better by taking initiatives like these apart from focusing on continuous learning." He also said that the book release programme would definitely be an inspiration for other teachers to take such initiatives.

Speaking at the programme, Santosh A Shetty, lecturer in commerce, Trisha Vidya College of Commerce and Management, Katapadi said that it gives him immense satisfaction to have finally been able to release a book as a co-author. He added that the journey of him authoring the book was no't an easy one but every obstacle that he faced has now become a good memory.

Prof B M Hegde, academic advisor, Trisha Group of Institutions, prof Indu Reethi, principal, Trisha Evening College and Prof Guruprasad Rao, principal, Trisha Vidya College of Commerce and Management, Katapadi were present during the programme.

Prof Ramachandra Bhat K, compered the programme. Prof Guruprasad Rao proposed a vote of thanks. Students, teaching and non teaching staff of the college were present during the programme.
