RSS' Dattatreya Hosabale raises concern over rising food prices

New Delhi, Jul 24 (IANS): Expressing concern over the ever-increasing inflation and rising food prices in the country, RSS General Secretary Dattatreya Hosabale has advised serious consideration on the issues.

Hosabale made the remarks on Saturday while addressing the two-day conference organised by RSS-affiliate Bharatiya Kisan Sangh, Indian Council of Agricultural Research, and Agricultural Economics Research Centre.

He said that food, clothing and housing are the basic needs of the people and so the prices should be affordable and bearable.

He also stressed that the basic necessities should be affordable but the burden should not be passed on to the farmers, adding that cooperatives can play a big role in this regard.

In his address, Hosabale gave the credit for the development of agriculture in the country in the past 75 years since independence to the governments, scientists and farmers.

He also stressed the need for a movement to make agriculture attractive in order to stop migration from villages to cities.

Who is ruling at the centre and state? No point having Chinthan Manch on getting the power if you don't know how to manage economy and stop corruption. ED is only raiding opposition members but not a single BJP politician. In Karnataka we have politicians with note counting machines which majority of people know but no raids on him.

These concerns are just an eye wash to fool public. Pretending to be they carry sympathy towards public. But in fact it is their political wing which is ruling the country with remote control in Nagpur.

Withdraw all facilities to MPs and MLAs. They must work for the nation. They must travel by train only in 2nd class, and that amount must reimburse. Same facilities from PM to all ministers and MPs and MLAs. Equal treatment. Any complaint from public regarding politicians or ministers, first they must resign before enquiries. Automatically all the problems will solve.
