New Delhi, Jul 26: BJP national president JP Nadda has agreed to participate in Basavaraj Bommai regime’s first anniversary Janotsava being celebrated with the mammoth public meeting at Doddaballapur on July 28.
Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, who called on Nadda in New Delhi, extended an invitation to the national president to participate and has accepted the invitation.
Bommai said his government’s first anniversary will be the third anniversary of BJP rule in Karnataka.
The Janotsava is being organised at Doddaballapur to showcase the achievements of BJP rule in the State, the Chief Minister told reporters in Delhi on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr K Sudhakar, who inspected the arrangements for the Janotsava, said the first anniversary of Bommai government being held at Doddaballapur on July 28 will provide the answer and silence all those who said the BJP does not have any support in Chikkaballapur, Kolar and Bengaluru Rural districts.
``BJP is a party which came up the people’s support and is committed to work for the people. The BJP has ruled the State for three years. Due to Covid pandemic, no functions could be held during the last two years. We are showcasing the work and achievements of BJP governments in the State and in Delhi,’’ he said.
Dr Sudhakar criticized the Congress party for its protests against ED inquiries against Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi and attacked the party for misusing
Central investigative agencies when they were in power and now opposing the ED investigation.
The minister said Congress party was faction-ridden and there was infighting on who will become chief minister after the assembly elections. The Congress party should first understand that they have to first win, he said.
Dr Sudhakar lambasted the 75th birthday celebration of Congress leader Siddaramaiah at Davangere on August 3 as nothing but glorification of an individual.
