Udupi: Senior citizen fleeced of investment by fake company

Udupi, Jul 28: A senior citizens was fleeced of thousands of rupees in the name of JCB India group company.

A Yogananda (67), resident of the city, had read the message about the public investment offer of JCB India Group of Haryana on the internet. He thought that it was a genuine company which manufactured various machines.

Believing the advertisement, Yogananda had conversation with the admins of the company Pallavi and Ashmitha Rakshe. They informed Yogananda about various schemes of the company and the profit from them.

Yogananda who got attracted with the schemes and returns promised invested Rs 81,000 from Saraswati cooperative bank of Udupi, in various phases in the plans of JCB India that were suggested by admins Pallavi and Ashmitha.

Yogananda was shocked when he did not get the dividends. In addition, the company has stopped functioning.

A case is filed at CEN crime police station in this regard.
