Libyan Government Rejects Rebels' Truce Offer

Tripoli, April 2 (IANS) The Libyan government Friday turned down a ceasefire offer from the rebels, Xinhua reported.

What rebels offered was not peace, said a government spokesman.

The opposition said earlier Friday they will ceasefire if the government forces stopped the attacks.

The spokesman accused the Western coalition of "crimes against humanity".
