30 runners trained to achieve new records

New Delhi, Jul 29 (IANSlife): Over 30 athletes from various performance levels will compete in a timed 10-km race to set new personal records. Japanese sports performance company, ASICS, will help runners improve their timing with the help of ASICS Running Club coaches Girish Bindra, Gaurav Singh, Deepa Nayak, and Ravinder Singh, as well as ASICS Athlete & Olympian T. Gopi. There will also be a few more sessions with nutrition and sports industry experts.

The METASPEED + Time: Trials - a pinnacle event will combine cutting-edge new product and ideal race conditions to allow athletes to beat their Personal Best (PBs). The brand will select runners from across the country to compete in a high-octane series of trace events, which will take place in key metro cities such as Mumbai, Delhi, and Bengaluru.

Rajat Khurana, ASICS India & South Asia Managing Director, said, "We are excited to announce our pinnacle Time: Trial race event to support 30 runners across the country. We are also thrilled to launch our new shoe Metaspeed™+ Sky and Metaspeed + Edge with this event as it is specially designed for runners to improve their running speed and overall performance. All new records set at the event will be set while wearing the all-new METASPEED + shoes, which the runners will officially launch.

The races will begin at 7:00 a.m. IST on August 6 in Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru.
