Udupi, Jul 29: Police prevented Pramod Muthalik, chief of Sri Rama Sene, who tried to enter Dakshina Kannada district in the midst of section 144. Pramod was stopped at Hejamady, border of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts. DC Dr Rajendra K V had ordered no entry to Pramod Muthalik as his provocative speech may hamper the law and order of the district.
Speaking to the reporters regarding the murder of Praveen Nettaru, Muthalik said, “If the BJP leaders had responded to the difficulties of their party workers, Praveen would not have been killed. The murder of Praveen that occurred at Sullia is extremely unfortunate. If the leaders knew about the difficulties of a worker who worked with dedication for BJP, he would have got shelter.
“The visit of chief minister Basavaraj Bommai after the killing to the house of Praveen’s family is not acceptable. The compensation of Rs 25 lac is not right. These incidents should not happen often.
“BJP leaders have made so much wealth that is enough for next three to four generations of their family. That is why I condemn BJP. Public are distraught by the death of Praveen. On the day of funeral itself the rage of people could be seen.
“The real Hinduvadis are those BJP workers, who have condemned the killing and resigned. I salute all of them,” he said.
Responding to the killing of Fazil in Suratkal, Muthalik said, “I do not know the reason for the murder at Suratkal. No one should take revenge for an action. This issue should be resolved together by Hindu and Muslim religious leaders.”
