Mangaluru, Aug 1: BJP spokesperson Jagadish Shenava said, “Conspiracy is being hatched to target Nalin Kumar Kateel over Praveen Nettaru’s murder.”
“The ruling BJP in Karnataka faced the heat of Hindu workers over the murder of BJP Yuva Morcha member Praveen Kumar Nettaru. The protesters laid siege to the vehicle of MP and BJP state chief Nalin Kumar Kateel and did not allow him to come out of his vehicle. The angry workers even attempted to topple his vehicle.
Addressing media here on Monday August 1, Shenava said, “The Hindu workers were anguished and raised slogans against Nalin. It is usual to express anger when a youth leader is murdered. The murder occurred at 8:20 pm and Nalin had left to Delhi via Bengaluru at 7:40 pm. When he landed at Delhi airport, Nalin was aware about Praveen’s murder. He had an important meeting with the high command later. Next day, Nalin missed the early morning flight and boarded 10:30 am flight to reach Mangaluru.
“Conspiracy was hatched by the aspirants, unsatisfied people and those denied opportunities to target Nalin. Many are not aware about Nalin’s hard work to reach where he is now. Nalin started as party worker and became state BJP president. Nalin is a leader who has not involved in any corruption. He is one of the top MPs to utilize the funds for the overall development of the district.
“Hindu workers need to know about Nalin. No one needs Congress to replace the BJP. The BJP always stands for Hindutva. We assure that no such untoward incident will be repeated. I urge Hindu workers to stop showing their anguish. We will take stern action to provide justice. It is a record to hand over a case to the NIA is lesser amount of time after the murder took place,” said Shenava.
BJP leaders Ravishankar Mijar, Radhakrishna and others were present.
