Bantwal, Aug 1: MLA Rajesh Naik flagged off the mechanised planting of paddy saplings at Chendinagadde paddy fields of the Polali temple with the participation of Bantwal agricultural department.
Speaking on the occasion, Naik said, “Like every year, this year too, planting of saplings is carried out in Chendinagadde with the active cooperation of locals. MO4 Bhadra variety has been sown. Every year this work is done to inspire young men to take up agriculture.”
Temple priest Narayana Bhat offered prayers and then the MLA flagged off the programme.
