Dubai: SCENT fully geared to present first evet 'Aatidonji Dina'

Dubai, Aug 8: SCENT (Sandhya Creations Event Network Team) in association with Fortune Plaza Hotel (A Praveen Shetty Enterprise) are fully geared up with support confirmed from various Communities in UAE to present the first ever ‘Aatidonji Dina’ cultural programme scheduled to be held on August 14 at Fortune Plaza Hotel, Al Ghusais, Dubai which will be a daylong event. The inauguration will be sharp at 10 am and the event will go on uantil 3 pm in the noon with floating crowd.

In the meeting held today at Al Bustan Centre, Dubai attended by the Committee Members, Shodhan Prasad briefed on the developments, confirmations and contributions pouring in positively from various communities for food preparation, folk dances, folk singing and fancy dress by little kids of Tuluvas. Attendees include Sudarshan Hegde, Nityanand Beskoor, Ganesh Rai, Ashok Bailur, Alwyn Pinto, Pramod Kumar, Santosh Shetty, Shameer Bolar, Rakshak Mangaluru, Sandhya Prasad, Kiran Beskoor and Ashok Bailur.

So far there are more than 24 participants presenting over 55 varieties of ethnic food of Tulunadu all homely prepared some of which are rarely available anywhere nowadays. This will not only showcase the importance of our ethnic food but also gives an opportunity to the present generation to taste the fresh healthy food which has its own importance. Daily new entries are pouring in requesting to register them and few of them are those currently only prepared in few homes of those communities. This is another occasion for a religious harmony as the participants include Hindu, Muslim, Christians and Jains of Tulunadu.

There will be a traditional inauguration of the ‘Aatidonji Dina’ festival and the food savory contest separately while there will be a judge to select the 3 winners of the food contest who will win both cash and kind prizes. The opening ceremony will be as per Tulunadu Culture and Tradition and the ambience will take back to yesteryear of Tulunadu.

Cultural programmes include Yakshagana Ballet by children, Group Folk Dances of various Teams, various fancy dress participants, Tiger Dance, Folk Song live singing which will entertain throughout.

There will be a special ‘Ganji Vanas’ and 10 different kinds of rare chutney’s symbolically depicting poor man’s rich healthy food which will be served for all.

Lucky visitors will win various prizes and all the participants will be honoured for their contribution.

There is no entry fee and it is totally free for all as the sole intention is to recreate Tulunadu in Dubai.

The entire programme will go Live in FB and Youtube for those Tuluvas to enjoy worldwide.
