Mangaluru, Aug 10: Government First Grade College, Kavoor has initiated the awareness programme on Har Ghar Tiranga in its neighbourhood in Kavoor. As per the directive of State Government and department of Collegiate Education, Bengaluru, the college is supposed to create awareness regarding hosting of Indian National Flag from August 13 to 15 in commemoration of 75 Years of India’s Independence (Azadi Ka Amrit Mohotsav).

Flags were distributed to the students on August 6 and were requested to go around in the neighbourhood to promote the message of brotherhood and pride and convince every household to hoist the Tricolour for three days. Students of the college have done a great job by visiting homes and creating awareness regarding the same.

Dr Shivarama P, principal of GFGC Kavoor handed over the flags to the students and kick started the commemorative event. The entire programme was planned and executed by professor Mohini, NSS programme officer of our college with the support and guidance of all the teachers of our college.
