Puttur: PU Educational Board DK, St Philomena jointly organizes Swimming competition

Puttur, Aug 12: PU Educational Board, Dakshina kannada and St Philomena PU College, Puttur jointly organized District level Swimming competition at Dr Shivrama Karanth Balavana Swimming Pool, Puttur.

The inaugural programme began by lighting the lamp by the dignitaries.

The president and the inaugurator Fr Stany Pinto, campus director said, "Swimming is a sport which needs physical ability". He said that if one does not succeed in the first attempt, just think that one has to keep the first step towards success.

The guest of honour, Partha Varanashi, director, Varanashi Swimming Academy said, "There is a way to be the best in the world. India is an unique country where the people have potential to go ahead".

Sathyalatha M Rai, department of English, introduced the guest of honour, Partha Varanashi to the gathering.

The physical directors, Elias Pinto and Rajesh Mooliya, St Philomena PU College, Puttur organized the competition.

The principal, Fr Ashok Rayan Crasta welcomed the gathering. Suma D (department of English) proposed vote of thanks. Dr Asha Savithri (department of Hindi) compered the programme.
