Mangaluru: Independence Day celebrations at St Agnes High School

Mangaluru, Aug 15: ‘Let our object be our country, our whole country and nothing but our country’ Dr B R Ambedkar. 75 years of Independence of Mother India was celebrated with patriotic fervour at St .Agnes High School.

The headmistress Sr Gloria AC hoisted the National Flag .The students sang national anthem in unison. The students of class IX A performed a skit on the valour of Rani Kitturu Chennamma. An apt patriotic song was sung, with deep sense of pride and gratefulness. The chief guest Latha Pinto, vice president of PTA Executive Committee, urged the students to show steadfast love and devotion towards our motherland and also to serve the country with dedication.

Prize winners of various competitions held on the theme ‘Azad Ka Amrita Mahotsav’ were awarded certificates by the chief guest. Abdul and Aishwarya anchored the programme. PTA Executive Committee members were present on the occasion. The students decorated their classrooms with the tri colour theme.
