Baroda: Tulu Sangha celebrates Independence Day

Baroda, Aug 16: Tulu Sangha celebrated India’s Independence Day at India Bulls Mega mall here.

The celebrations were held under the guidance of Shashidhar B Shetty, president of Tulu Sangha Baroda. Child geniuses of the sangha, guests of honour Deekshit Shetty, Vishmitha Poojary and Kavya Shetty inaugurated the programme.

“Independent India is the result of the struggle of countless revolutionists. Our freedom is our pride. Therefore, it is the duty of every Indian to live maintaining the prestige of our country,” said Shashidhar B Shetty.

Honorary secretary of Tulu Sangha, Balakrishna A Shetty, Treasurer Vasu P Poojary, Mahaveera B Jain, Dr Sharmila M Jain, Pramila Shashidhar Shetty, Madankumar Moodigere, Vishal Shanta, Ravindra Shetty, Karthik Gowda, ladies wing members and heads if local associations were present.

Ishani Shetty welcomed. Riddhi Shetty and Tanvi Shanta compered the programme. Riddi Shetty rendered a vote of thanks. Women and children in the sangha presented a unique cultural programme proclaiming patriotism.
