Mumbai, Aug 17: The Independence day was celebrated at Jagadamba Kalabhairava temple, Jogeshwari east. Sanjiva Poojary, the temple head, hoisted the national flag in the morning and the gathering sang the national anthem.

Chief priest Vidwan Narahari explained the significance of the day.

Billavara association Mumbai Jogeshwari local committee president Narayana Poojary, members of the temple board of trustees, M C Suvarna, Herga Babu Poojary, Santhosh Shetty, Shekhar Karkera, activists of temple ladies wing and Seva Balaga cooperated for the success of the programme.
