Udupi, Aug 19: “Showing black flags and throwing eggs on Siddaramaiah's when he had gone to Coorg to inspect the natural disasters as the opposition party leader is an assault of democracy,” said former minister Vinay Kumar Sorake.
“Kodagu is devastated due to the rains. People are anxious. The office of the DC is constructed on the hill without far sight. Rs 7 crores have been spent for the border wall which is more than Rs 5 crores spent on the total office. The chief minister has not conducted an inspection,” he said.
“Siddaramiah had gone to Kodagu to ensure a permanent solution for the problems the district is facing. Fifty crushers are functioning there causing repeated explosions on the land,” he said.
"Siddaramiah was stopped purposely as there was participation of local representatives in it. All the political parties have the strength to show black flags and throw eggs. Opposition party leader is equal to the chief minister. What was the intelligence and home minister doing? Pratap Simha has no permanent solutions. The Lok sabha members and MLAs are responsible for disasters in Kodagu," he said.
He said that Siddaramaiah had worked taking into confidence all. “BJP has taken advantage of the propaganda during elections. All the Lingayat seers are close to Siddaramaih who has respected everybody;” he said referring to Siddaramaiah visiting Rambapuri seer.
