Nashik: Two Women Burnt to Death in Maharashtra


Nashik (Maharashtra), April 13 (IANS) Two women labourers were burnt to death in their sleep early Wednesday when a part of a building under construction caught fire here, police said.

"The two women were asleep on the ground floor. They seemed to be unaware of the fire," assistant sub-inspector R.N. Shaikh told IANS.

"Their bodies have been burnt completely and have been sent to the civil hospital. We are trying to identify them," he added.

What caused the fire is not yet clear, the official said.
