Mangaluru: St Agnes CBSE School celebrates International Friendship Day

Mangaluru, Aug 20: St Agnes CBSE school celebrated the International Friendship Day marking the special bond of friendship. It is commemorated every year all across the globe.

While July 30 is designated as international friendship day, in India it is celebrated on the first Sunday of August. Therefore, this year it was marked on August 7.

The day commemorated with a meaningful prayer service of thanking God for giving the best friends. The significance of the day was highlighted in the morning assembly.

To mark this special day the school organised some activities to the students. The tiny tots of grade I and II were decked up as dolls in red. The students of grade III, IV and V prepared creative gift boxes, grade VI, VII and VIII students prepared friendship bands and exchanged it with their friends.

Grade IX and X prepared creative friendship card with beautiful thoughts. It was truly captivating to see the student’s enthusiastic involvement to mark this meaningful day. The colourful decorative boards added meaning to this day.

The administrator, principal congratulated the staff and students for their great effort in making this day a memorable one.
