Mangaluru: Gang attempts to murder youth, one seriously injured

Mangaluru, Aug 20: A gang attempted to murder a youth with lethal weapons on Friday August 19 night at Valachil here.

Miftah had gone to buy groceries from a shop nearby when a gang of ganja addicts and sellers tried to kill him.

Miftah’s uncle Asif tried to prevent the assault and was injured seriously. He is admitted to a hospital in Mangaluru.

A case is registered in Kankanady police station. It is said the assailants were Mansoor and Ashique.

    If I understood it right, there are some drug hotspots in DK and Udupi. If anyone and everyone provides credible evidence to the contrary, I will accept it. Alcohol, drugs and contraband substances are conduit for political ascendance, but not necessarily a sure shot condui to political success. DK Police should bring a case to make it stand for a day in court with respect to Fazil murder case, please...I know this request in failed cause, but still...

    Praveen Mangalorean,sure not only you but others too tired and sad.Cause of such attacks is simple but powerful.Cases of drug consumers ahve increased ,and sellers too .Fights between groups are increasing because who sells more ,he will be under observation and is the next to knok out.Leave the habit of consuming first and later as dealer,you are safe.so simple is it.Or more money matters.
