Kundapur, Aug 20: Central rural development and panchayat raj standing committee visited Bengaluru on August 20. MP B Y Raghavendra, one of the members of the committee took part in their meeting and requested for telephone connections and compound walls for Anganwadis and to construct foot overbridges in his Lok Sabha constituency.
Discussions were held with leaders of various departments in the state, state Lead bank heads in Canara bank, Union Bank and other officials about implementation of rural development projects. Discussions were also held with various industrialists over utilizing CSR funds for rural development.
Committee president Pratap Rao Jadav, other parliament members in the committee, state chief secretary Vandita Sharma, rural development and panchayat raj department chief secretary L K Atiq and other officers took part.
