Daijiworld Media Network – Mangaluru (MS)

Mangaluru, Aug 21: Police arrested Ashiq on the accusation of attacking youth with lethal weapons at Valachil on the late night of Friday.

Mohammed Asif (30) was seriously injured in the incident. Ashique and Mustaq were involved in criminal activities earlier also and a case under IPC 307 is registered against both at the Kaup police station.

In the latest incident, Ashique had borrowed the mobile phone of Mifah, a resident of Valachil. When Miftah asked Ashique to return the same, he spoke arrogantly. Miftah informed this matter to his uncle Asif. When Asif asked for the mobile phone, in the argument that ensued between him and Ashiq and Musthaq duo, they attacked Asif with lethal weapons.

It is learnt that a gang selling and consuming ganja is active at Valachil, and Ashiq and Mustha are also involved in that gang.

The rural police station personnel are investigating further.
