Kasargod: Police chase, arrest man involved in several theft cases

Kasargod, Aug 23: Bekal station police arrested an accused who was wanted in many theft cases.

The arrested accused is identified as Ukkas Basheer (55), a resident of Badiadka Panjikal. He was trying to escape from the police at Badiyadka. However, the cops chased and apprehended the culprit.

Basheer is an accused in the case of theft that occurred at the house of Abdul Rehman of Bekal Kote Gudde. Bekal police were on the lookout for him. They received a definite tip-off that the accused is in Badiadka and they caught him in a lightning operation.

    Even at the age of 55 years he could run away form police must be a seasoned thief .
