Mangaluru Aug 23: CEO Atal incubation centre (NITI Ayog sponsored) NITTE Dr Ananthapadmanabha Achar inaugurated Faculty and Student Development Programme on ‘Entrepreneurship
and employability skills development’ here at School of Social Work Roshni Nilaya Mangaluru on Tuesday, August 23.

The programme is organised by Roshni Alumni Association, Bengaluru, Roshni Alumni Association, Mangaluru, Nava Karnataka Confederation of Industries & Commerce, Atal Incubation Centre (NITI Aayog Sponsored), NITTE in association with School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya, Mangaluru.

The Faculty and Student Development Programme will be conducted from August 23 to 30.

Principal School of Social work Roshni Nilaya Dr Juliet CJ, vice principal Dr Jennis Mary, president Roshni Alumni association Bengaluru chapter Jagadish Shekar Naik, secretary Roshni alumni association Mangaluru chapter Emilynne Pais were also present.

About Faculty and Student Development Programme:
The Faculty and Student Development Programme (FDP) intends to provide assistance to facilitate up-gradation of knowledge, skill and intends to provide opportunities for training of teachers employed in disciplines social work education and students of PG in Social Work at School of Social Work, Roshni Nilaya. Faculty Development Programme (FDP) to cover areas such as new concepts, methods and techniques, theory and skills development and up gradation of pedagogy educational technology, motivation, communication skills, management and other relevant issues to keep pace with the changing scenario in Social Work Education.

Taking inputs from Alumni, program is designed to enhance the teaching and other skills of the faculty along with insights on Entrepreneurship and Employability to students. And to make participants aware about modern teaching tools and methodologies. It provide an opportunity to acquire knowledge about current technological developments in relevant fields. It will not only promote the professional practices relevant to social work education but also motivates the participants to achieve competitive teaching and learning environment, thus channelizing development with respect to academic qualifications and personal matters.

During the seven days even a galaxy of expert speakers and resource persons have kindly consented to share their perspectives. List of guests and speakers include-
