Udupi, Aug 24: MCHP Manipal was established in 1999 as the first full-fledged and largest institution in the country exclusively dedicated to the quality education of allied health professionals and presently offering over 70 programmes with students from 21 countries. The college envisions training allied healthcare professionals who can create a difference in the quality of life of individuals.

With a strong legacy of 23 years of excellence in education, research and being a second largest constituent unit of Manipal Academy of Higher Education in terms of total number of students on rolls, it attracts a large number of overseas observers/students for clinical placements, due to the dedicated faculty members, infrastructures and facilities for clinical training in tertiary care hospital and various outreach programs. With its sustained focus on bringing in continuous improvement to knowledge delivery, it is only natural that MCHP Manipal has grown leaps and bounds over the years under the umbrella of the MAHE Manipal, an Institute of Eminence (IOE) accorded by Ministry of Education (MOE), Government of India (GOI), and MAHE has recently been awarded with the highest NAAC grade of A++.

There is a very strong alumni connect ensuring that the students are always abreast with new advancements and get excellent placement opportunities with them. At the same time, the institution's association with world renowned universities and healthcare industry partner’s, students have opportunities for various academic exchange programs across 20 collaborating global universities and prospects to carry out industry training with more than 10 leading healthcare industries in India.

The courses offered are specially designed to prepare students for rewarding careers in the growing health care industry. The orientation program for the under graduate students 2022 was inaugurated by Dr M V Prabhu, pro vice chancellor, MAHE, Dr Avinash Shetty, medical superintendent, Kasturba hospital, Manipal. Dr G Arun Maiya highlighted the institutional academic and research achievement, and Dr B Reshmi proposed a vote of thanks.
