Mangaluru/Udupi, Aug 24: Dakshina Kannada on Wednesday, August 24, reported 13 new coronavirus cases while 9 cases were registered in Udupi.
The total number of positive cases in the Dakshina Kannada district has risen to 1,36,561 out of which 67 are currently active. As many as 18 patients were discharged on August 24.
No deaths were reported on August 24. The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,859. Positivity rate for the day stood at 1.45% percent.
Udupi
Nine coronavirus cases were reported on August 24. The total active Covid cases are 37.
A total of 10,90,422 people have received the first dose of vaccination and 10,84,143 have received both doses and 2,34,698 people have received booster doses.
Udupi taluk reported 6 cases, one in Karkala and two were from out of the district.
