Dubai: Consumer Confidence Up in UAE


Dubai, April 15 (IANS/WAM) The Consumer Confidence Indicator, which measures the expectations and consent of consumers on inflation, job opportunities and cost of living, has risen in the UAE from last year's figures, says a report.

A quarterly survey in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) conducted by Bayt.com website revealed that 28 percent of respondents said they were living in better conditions compared to the previous year, while 34 percent said their living conditions were similar to those of the previous year.

A total of 53 percent of respondents in the UAE said the economy will improve during this year, while 53 percent said personal financial matters would be better in 2011. Only five percent of the respondents said they do not believe so.
