Beltangady: Head teacher dies due to cardiac arrest

Beltangady, Aug 25: Veerendra Patila (52), head teacher of Piligoodu government higher primary school of Kaniyoor village in the taluk, died on August 23 due to cardiac arrest at his rented house at Punjalakatte.

Veerendra was native of Lambani Hatti of Chitradurga district. He was living in a rented house with his wife and children on Pilatabettu – Berkala road. His wife and children had gone to their native place as it was Saturday. When they returned on Tuesday, they found Veerendra lying at home motionless. When he was taken to hospital, the doctors declared him brought dead.

Earlier, Veerendra used to work in Badaga Kajekaru school of Bantwal and got transferred to Piligoodu school three months ago after securing promotion as head teacher.

Veerendra is survived by wife, son and daughter. MLA Harish Poonja, zonal education officer H S Veerupakshappa expressed their condolences.

    Very sad.Noone noticed or even his wife /children called home as they were away ?Till Tuesday he was left alone ?very sad .May his soul rest in peace.Heartfelt sympathy to his family.
