Daijiworld Media Network – Bengaluru (MS)

Bengaluru, Aug 25: Education minister B C Nagesh has instructed officials of education department to visit Madrasas in the state and inspect about the quality and format of education and fundamental infrastructure in them and report within the next 15 days.

The minister gave instructions to the officers after holding a meeting on Wednesday in the wake of the complaints received by several parents that quality education is not imparted in the Madrasas of Karnataka.

B C Nagesh

Speaking to the press after the meeting, Nagesh said, “Our department has received complaints that the Madrasa management does not cooperate with our officers when they visit them for inspection. So they are asked to inspect and report. Once the details are available, a meeting will be held between the education experts and madrasa management committees.

“Once the facilities in Madrasas are known, decision will be taken whether to have a board for them or not. If board is not necessary, then stress will be given towards improving quality of education and fundamental infrastructure,” he said.

It is fine to inspect any premises that publicly operates... It is also necessary to inspect the veracity of the complainants... No educational institute has an agenda to disrepute itself.... Already the minister and state govt have proved to be partisan... We must have a committee of inspectors with representatives from all religions... Or else bajapa is famous for planting stories and growing them quickly...
