Bengaluru, Aug 25: A long delayed Lift Irrigation scheme at Annadinni in Bilagi taluk of Bagalkiot district at a cost of Rs 28 crore has been approved by the State Cabinet at its meeting chaired by Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai in Bengaluru on Thursday.
Large and Medium Industries Minister Murugesh R Nirani, who represents the Bilagi assembly constituency, has thanked the Chief Minister and the Minor Irrigation as well as Law and Parliamentary Affairs Minister J C Madhuswamy for their support.
The Annadinni lift irrigation coming under the Ghataprabha project will provide irrigation facilities to 840 hectares as well as ensure supply of drinking water to several villages, Nirani said.
