Kundapur: 17-yr-old PUC student hit by train while crossing railway track, dies

Kundapur, Aug 25: A teenager died after he was hit by a speeding train while he was crossing a railway track near Shirur Neerugadde, at about 11.30 AM on Thursday, August 25.

The deceased has been identified as Sampath Poojary (17), a resident of Mudramakki Shirur village, Byndoor. 

Sampath Poojary was a second year PUC student at Byndoor Junior College and was at home due to semester examination. He was walking from his residence at Mudramakki to the house of his grandmother across the railway tracks to prepare for the examination. He had earphones plugged in his ears. As the train was running on electricity he could not hear the noise of the incoming train and was hit.

A case in this connection is registered at Byndoor police station.

    Its sad but noone can do anything for his own mistakes.Its a big disease to plug ears and walk without looking left or right,specially on railway tracks.Of course they have their musik or Notes .But ears or eyes should keep open Young boy ,life is gone.May his soul rest in peace.Heartfelt sympathy to his family.May God give them enough strength to bear this pain.
