Udupi, Aug 26: As the academic year 2021-22 comes to an end and effective tomorrow,  August 27. revision holidays were declared by the Milagres College Kallianpur, to prepare for forthcoming university level semester examinations. 

The ‘MCK Career Guidance Cell’ guided by Prof Karthik Nayak and team was occupied to grab every single opportunity to help the final year students to get lucrative jobs. The St Milagres Credit Sauharda Cooperative Society Ltd a brainchild business venture of George Fernandes Karwar, which has the credit of running 111, branches in almost 8 Districts of Karnataka, having a significant presence in credit, banking and financial services in coastal region, especially in Udupi district.

Jeevan DSouza a proud alumnus of Milagres College, at present the development manager MCSC Udupi zone, rightly had high regards for this alma mater and his team arrived to Milagres Campus at 1.30 pm on August 26, comprising Malini Lobo manager Udupi Branch, Ambrose Lopez manager Brahmmavar branch.

During the simple inaugural ceremony held in the audio visual auditorium of the college, principal Dr Vincent Alva lit the traditional lamp with guests on the dais and presided over the function and gave a call to its students to make the best use of the golden opportunity at their door steps and thanked the Milagres Society team for their special interest to recruit our would be graduates in their fast progressing enterprise.

Earlier Wilfa Lewis extended a warm and cordial welcome to all gathered and introduced the chief guest Seema Hablidar narrated the dream vision and progress registered by one of the largest and well managed cooperative society. She also shared her feeling in her encouraging words to the prospective aspirants to work sincerely, with honesty and integrity. Today sky is the limit for right candidates, provided youth cultivate values like patience and perseverance.

Principal Dr Vincent Alva and convenor of the placement cell Prof Karthik Nayak handed over mementos to the members of recruiting team while Kavitha Mascarenhas proposed vote of thanks. Dale Adria DSouza compeered the event gracefully with her chosen words.

In the followed written tests, personal interviews etc around 21 students of M Com & B Com final year studying in the Milagres College were short listed and considered for final round of selection.
