Kundapur student who met with accident in Mangaluru succumbs

Kundapur, Aug 27: Jayaram Kalluraya (25), a resident of Koravadi in Kumashi in the taluk, who was getting treated in an ICU after meeting with accident at Mangaluru, died on Friday August 26.

Jayaram was a first year student of computer science in Mangalore University. He met with accident near A J hospital in Mangaluru on July 30 and suffered severe injuries to his head.

The family of Jayaram is financially poor. Lecturers and students of Mangalore University pooled in money to help him. However, he succumbed to his injuries on Friday.

Jayaram was a social worker. During Covid first wave, he worked as corona warrior out of his own interest at Kumbashi primary health care center. When he had free time, he used to do service at Kumbashi Anegudde Sri Vinayaka temple. Bike riding and photography were his hobbies.

Jayaram is survived by his father, who is a staff at Anegudde Sri Vinayaka temple, mother and brother.
