Bantwal: Resident of B C Road dies in road accident in Tamil Nadu

Bantwal, Aug 27: A resident of Talapady, near B C Road died in a lorry accident that occurred at Amboor, Tamil Nadu late night on Friday August 26.

He deceased is identified as Mohammed Arshad (37). He had loaded fish in the lorry from Mangaluru fishing port and begun his journey on Friday afternoon. The accident took place at about 12.15 am.

It is said that the accident occurred when his lorry hit a parked lorry at Amboor. While Arshad was sleeping in the lorry, Abdul Azeez, a resident of Pallamajalu, near B C Road was driving the lorry. Abdul Azeez suffered minor injuries and returned home after treatment.

Arshad, who was employed abroad, had remained in the hometown after the lockdown. He had bought the lorry recently and was transporting fish to Chennai from Mangaluru. Arshad’s father died five months ago. Arshad has left behind his mother, wife, a daughter, a son and relatives.
