Dengue fever cases touch 5,000-mark in Karnataka

Bengaluru, Aug 28: The number of cases of dengue fever are increasing by the day Karnataka. Now the total cases have reached an alarming 5,000 in number. In August itself, four people have died.

As rain continues to lash many many districts, cases of dengue fever are also rising. At the end of July there were 4,000 cases. However, in 22 days of August another 1,000 cases have been registered. Out of the total 5,032 cases of dengue, 1,102 cases have been reported in Bengaluru itself.

 

Till the end of July, fatalities due to dengue were zero in the state. But in the month of August four people have died. Out of these, two are from Udupi and one each from Chikkaballapur and Vijayapura.

The number of cases in Bengaluru city, which were just 351, shot up three times and reached 1,058. More than 20 suspected cases of dengue are reported every day in the city with four to five people getting admitted to the hospital.

The number of dengue cases in different districts are Bengaluru city (including Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike) 1102, Mysuru, 459, Udupi 418, Dakshina Kannada 224, Chitradurga 213, Shivamogga 199, Hassan 180, Belagavi 161, Vijayapura 160, Mandya 155, Davanagere 143, Chikkaballapur 139, Kalaburagi 146, Chamarajanagar 120, Dharwad 119, Kolar 118, Koppal 115, Chikkamagaluru 108 and Ballari 108.

The health department has organised various programmes in coordination with local, city and district administration to curb the spread of dengue fever. Health department has brought out a circular addressing all district health department officers to ensure proper supply of drinking water and maintenance, immediate sorting of useless and solid waste, survey of mosquito breeding spots and action to destroy them, fuming of indoor areas in emergency using approved chemical and taking preventive methods to get away from mosquito bites.

    Now people dont care for covid inspite of giving fake information by the heslth dept saying covid might reach to the peak in mid june/mid July/august etc. Now started dengue update. People, who ever suffers from dengue, try papaya leaves juice one tablespoon three times a day.....to increase the platelets and have more liquids/fruits...especially kiwi/apples....Since two years, nothing was said about viral fever...followed by cold n cough by these health depts. Time to time awareness given by our dear commentators Shri Dev/Shri Monty Dotor/shri Rudy Rodrigues/shri Dan....Thanks to you all dear gentlemen...May god bless you abundantly..My question where was viral fever/malaria/dengue ???
