Beltangady, Aug 29:The department of Pre University Education, Mangaluru, in collaboration with Anugraha PU College, Ujire organized Beltangady Taluk Level Football Tournament on August 27.

The tournament was inaugurated by Fr James D'Souza, the correspondent. He in his message gave a call to the players to play in a sportive spirit. The principal Fr Vijay Lobo spoke about the importance of co-ordination not only among the players in sports but also in all the activities of life.

SDM College sports secretary Ramesh, residential college physical director Lakshmana, taluk sports co-ordinator Denis Fernandes congratulated the sports persons. SDM Residential PU College and SDM PU College Ujire were the winners and the runners-up of the tournament respectively, 

Hariprasad of Computer Science department and Precilla D'Souza of English department helped in organizing the tournament. Arun of History department compered the programme.
