Mangaluru: Ayushmaan Tailor wins gold medal in 50-mtr back stroke

Mangaluru, Aug 29: Ayushmaan Tailor won the gold medal in the 50-meter back stroke in under-12 category by clocking a timing of 34.31 seconds in the state level swimming competition conducted by Youth Games Council Karnataka in Bengaluru on August 6 under Fit India Movement by government of India and qualified for the nationals to be held in Delhi.

Ayushmaan is the son of Pawan Kumar Tailor, working in CGST department Mangaluru and Sarita Kumari Verma, a home maker.

He has been taking training under swimming coach Lokraj Vittal and Yagnesh at We One Aqual Center in St Aloysius Swimming Pool, Mangaluru and studying in 7th class in Lourdes Central School, Mangaluru.
