Udupi, Aug 30: “We had requested for floral tributes to be offered to the pictures of Savarkar in the Ganeshotsava festival pandals and several people have responded,” said district BJP president Kuyilady Suresh Nayak.
Speaking in a news conference here, he said that it had been decided to construct Savarkar circle in Udupi. “Books on Savarkar will be sold to people and symposiums about him will be held in colleges. Criticizing Savarkar has become a fashion for some. They should stop it,” he said.
Speaking about the Bharat Jodo programme by the Congress party, he said that Congress should hold the Congress Jodo programme before it. “Congress had broken the country and now realized it. Congress cannot join the country. Let the heads prevent Congress leaders from leaving it and strengthen their party instead,” he said.
