Mangaluru Aug 31: MLA U T Khader will seek clarification on central and state government’s share in the projects launched during prime minister Narendra Modi’s visit on September 2.
Addressing the media here on Wednesday, August 31, Khader said, "Crores of rupees worth projects will be launched at NMPT and MRPL during the event. The shares of central and state governments in the projects should be disclosed so that public know about it. NMPT has been sold to a private company, JSW. The projects which are being launched belong to private company."
"We welcome prime minister Narendra Modi. We have long list of demands which has to reach Modi through the MPs and MLAs of the district. We have demands such as including Tulu language to 8th schedule, resolving toll gate issue, providing job opportunities to localities in companies like MRPL, Railways and banking. BJP have assured formation of NIA office in Mangaluru in 2018 manifesto and this is yet to be fulfilled," said Khader.
