Mangaluru, Aug 31: Mount Carmel Central School, Mangaluru won numerous trophies in the 12th James Naismith Cup, a Basket Ball tournament organized by the Mangalore Basketball Club in association with the Dakshina Kannada District Basketball Association at the U.S Mallya Indoor Stadium, Mangaluru.
The Senior boys’ team won the Winners Trophy, while the senior girls’ team bagged the Runners up Trophy. The Primary girls’ team secured the Champions Trophy and the Primary boys’ team won the Third Place.
The synchronised efforts of Mrinal Lasrado of grade IX, Mythili Nayak Manel of grade IX and Rochelle Marie Lobo of grade VII brought them the Best Player award in the senior boys’, senior girls’ and junior girls’ categories respectively.
