Bantwal: 12-year-old attacked by honey bees succumbs to injuries

Bantwal, Sep 2: A boy died as honey bees attacked him while he was playing near his house on Thursday September 1.

This tragic incident is reported from Kalai of the taluk. Mazin (12), son of Hakeer, resident of Kalai Talipadi is the unfortunate victim of this tragedy.

Mazin was playing near his house on Thursday evening, while the honey bees attacked him in group. A seriously injured Mazin was taken to private hospital for treatment. However, he succumbed to the injuries on Thursday night.

    Its not a honey bee ,but a bumble bee....very dangerous if u are swarm attacked. 18 bees can kill anyone

    If the insect which is on picture - it is not Honey Bee it's Wasp ( Pili Kundel) . So, please don't put blame on Honey Bee- ( Genus Apis) they are Gentle creatures and never attack in mass like that. One or 2 or even 20 bites Honey Bee at a time will never kill anyone.
