Kundapur: Youth Congress leader gets threat call – Caller demands Rs 10 lac, complaint filed

Kundapur, Sep 3: Karnataka state youth Congress secretary Bannadi Ajit Kumar Shetty was threatened over the phone to pay Rs 10 lac or else he will be killed. This incident is reported from Bannadi of Vaddarse village in Brahmavar taluk.

Bharath Das and another person are the alleged accused. 

According to details, Ajit Kumar Shetty received a WhatsApp call on August 31. Ajit did not pick the call as it was from stranger. However, he picked the call as the caller started calling repeatedly.

The stranger who spoke from the other end said that he is asked by Bharat Das to call Ajit. The caller said Ajit to pay Rs 10 lac or else he will be killed. A little while later, the caller sent a voice message on WhatsApp and abused Ajit using profanity and said that he will be killed by the next morning. In one more message the words of killing before morning were repeated.

A case in this connection is filed at Kota police station.
