Udupi: Retired teacher Thomas D'Souza meets with accident, succumbs to injuries

Udupi, Sep 3: Thomas D'Souza from Baikady in Brahmavar, a retired physical education teacher, succumbed to injuries which he received in an accident on Saturday September 3.

Thomas was a physical education teacher at SMS PU College, Brahmavar. He had met with the accident on Friday September 2 morning.

He was riding pillion along with Vittal Shetty. A tempo which came along recklessly, hit the two-wheeler near Bhadragiri cross, in Baikady. Thomas fell on the ground in the mishap. He was immediately rushed to a private hospital. He passed away on Saturday without responding to the treatment.

The incident took place under Brahmavar police station limits.

Really sorry to hear this tragic loss and untimely passing away of great personality most sought after, loved and admired in the surrounding of Baikady, Brahmavar. A person with special dynamism, admired by many, endowed with charismatic quality, uniquely vested in him by the Divine. One of the Stalwart of St. Mary's Syrian College (S.M.S.), who was a key person in the reputation of the college in the district level, people of all denomination and every walk of faith loved him and could approach and confide in him. It's indeed a great loss. Rest in peace dear 'THOMAS MASTER", May the Lord Jesus Christ whom who served faithfully, grant you the bliss of eternal peace.

    RIP! Tragic road accidents in DK are an every day affair, much much higher than a metro like Mumbai which is alarming! Two wheelers are a very risky mode of transport in this place!
