Mangaluru: Ganesh Chaturthi celebrated at Manipal School

Media Release

Mangaluru, Sep 4:  Ganesh Chaturthi was celebrated with great enthusiasm in the Pre-primary block of Manipal school, Attavar on August 30. Children in the age group of 3 to 5 enjoyed the process of learning through the festival.

In their classroom, the children listened to the story of Lord Ganesha and thoroughly enjoyed the story about how young Ganesha acquired his trunk! The Pre-Primary children also crafted images of Lord Ganapati which were later used to decorate the school lobby.

As a part of hands on activity they prepared Lord Ganesha's favourite sweet ‘Wheat laddoos’. At the end the children got into the festive mood and moved and grooved to the beats of Ganapati Bappa Moreya.

For students of higher classes, a special assembly was conducted on August 29. The assembly commenced with a melodious invocation, the Ganesha Vandana by the students of Grade VI, followed by a rhythmic group dance.
