Mangaluru, Sep 5: It is customary in society to hold baby shower for a pregnant woman. However, a family in Gurpur near here, held the same function for their pet female dog which is pregnant. The video and photos of the programme have gone viral on social media.
Sushmitha Salian, daughter of Manjula and Bhaskar of Gurpur loves pets. The pet female dog, Shadow, in their house is pregnant. Hence, Sushmitha held a baby shower ceremony for the pet and put green bangles, green saree, applied vermilion and turmeric and performed Arathi. She also gave fruits, ice cream and sweets that are loved by Shadow.
The video of the female dog sitting quietly while the ceremony of baby shower is being held has gone viral on social media.
