Beltangady: Anugraha School wins taluk level football tournament

Beltangady, Sep 3: Taluk level football tournament was held at Anugraha Educational Institutions, Ujire, which was organized by the department of School Education and Literacy and Anugraha Educational Institution.

Fr James D'Souza, the correspondent of Anugraha Educational Institutions inaugurated the match and addressing the opening ceremony, he said, “ Winning or losing the game depends on the teamwor."

The principal Fr Vijay Lobo delivered a speech on the importance of games. Antony Fernandes, the member of the management committee conveyed his best wishes to the players.

Ananda Krishna, vice president of the management committee, Devasiya, co-ordinator of the Zonal Level Physical Education Teachers Association, member of Ujire gram panchayat, member of the school management committee, and HM of the primary section Ravi Kumar were present on the stage.

Prabhakar Shetty compered the programme. Philomena welcomed the gathering.

As many as 15 school teams participated in the competition. An exciting football match was held and that engaged the audience with utmost excitement and curiosity. Anugraha Higher Primary boys and girls won the taluk level football match. In the high school section Anugraha high school girls team secured Ist place and SDM English Medium High school secured 2nd place. Anugraha High School boys secured Ist place and are qualified for the district level football match.

The principal Fr Vijay Lobo encouraged the students for their laudable performance and felicitation them with trophies.
